Why we built Movo

Two years ago I sat down with Luqman, a sports academy owner who'd been in this business for over a decade.

I came in thinking I understood sales - B2B sequences, cadences, conversion logic. I'd built systems that worked. I figured this couldn't be that different.

He set me straight in about 20 minutes.

Families aren't leads. One parent fills out the form, the other doesn't know. A grandparent is paying. The kid ages out of one program and no one offers the next step.

It's an emotional sale with multiple stakeholders - and a very small window to get it right. The moment a family feels spammed, you've lost them.

Every tool in this space treats families like B2B prospects. Send an email, wait, follow up. It doesn't work. And academies lose enrollment because of it.

That conversation changed how I saw the problem. Nathan and I built Movo around that insight - winning families requires patience, personalization, and understanding the entire decision unit, not just the lead.
